Megan Raab Greenholt is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores printmaking, textiles, painting, and sculpture. Collections of found and natural objects fill her studio space, guide her creative expression, and always find a way into her work. For the past decade she has been marking time and place by producing eco-dyed materials, primarily using dyestuffs sourced from her dye garden or locally and sustainably foraged. As a practicing artist and educator, discovery is integral to her practice. Megan uses a process-oriented approach to facilitate an intuitive response to materials as a means to encourage engagement and wonder. She enjoys sharing the creative process with all age groups in a variety of community settings, including educational, historical, shared living communities, and rehabilitation programs.
Megan maintains an active studio practice in Chester County, PA. She has exhibited throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Her work is found in private collections and permanent installations at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, East Norriton, PA and Mission First Housing Commission, Philadelphia, PA. Megan’s work was also featured on the cover of Philadelphia Stories Magazine, Spring 2013. Since 2007, she has been a member of Artessa Alliance, a women’s artist cooperative, which has given her a multitude of opportunities to exhibit her work in the greater Philadelphia area.
Megan holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, a MA in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a MEd and PA Teaching Certificate from Kutztown University.
